Site Services International chooses Copywriting On Demand
Site Services International launched a web-based offshoot, Atsite.co.uk, a couple of years ago and it has become one of the UK’s top on-line success stories. Today their website www.atsite.co.uk sells 10,000 products from big brands like DeWalt, Bosch, Makita, Panasonic, Hitachi, Paslode, Helly Hansen, Draper, Click, Timberland, Caterpillar, Dr Martens, PSF, Tuskers and Gojo – all supplied nationwide.
The brief to Copywriting On Demand was to deliver compelling copy, “yesterday”. Marc Jones, direct or sums up the results, “I am astonished that you were able to supply such a polished, complete article within such a tiny timeframe. We have literally changed only 5 words! I’ve attached a sample of the article that we have sent to production this morning to prove the point. My fellow Directors have well and truly seen the light and we will soon be asking you to quote on further work across the businesses. In the mean time please forward your invoice which I will attend to without delay.”
How did the venture come about? Site Services International is a global player in the Oil, Gas and Power Generation industries. SSI has teams of professionals working on big scale installation, maintenance and refurbishment contracts throughout the UK, Europe, Africa, the Middle and Far East. “You can imagine the expertise built up supplying tooling and safety clothing to customers and site teams,” says Paul. “And that’s how Atsite began. Over the years we noticed the breadth of our stockholding increasing and our buying power growing, so it made good sense to launch a retail division. In no time at all we have become one of the leading industrial supply companies in the UK. We’re right there in the premier league.”
“You have to understand that our products and service levels can be mission-critical for our customers. And that’s our winning secret – a combination of low pricing, a no quibble 100% guarantee and a rapid returns procedure means our customers can maintain full production without any cost-damaging downtime.”
This year the company is upping the anti by launching a new handy catalogue that features nearly 2000 of their most popular products, used by companies of all sizes; from the one-man-band to multinationals. “And to celebrate our success we’ve kitted ourselves out with a new strip right across the new catalogue, our vehicles and the website – a re-brand that reflects our special ‘local company, national reach’ approach,” says Paul. “Why don’t you come and have a look?
